Once a Greek philosopher (Plato) said music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything, on that note ladies & gentlemen allow me to introduce (or re-introduce her for those who already know her) this young soul called Essie (@Essie256) to you. Essie is a young talented singer-songwriter under Crown Ace who has appeared on a bunch of urban musical projects coming out of Uganda.
Essie teamed up with her fellow Crown Ace members; Josh SB on production and CODE dropping a verse to deliver an Afro fusion of hip hop and soul single titled ‘You’. With powerful vocals Essie lays down a catchy hook on an Afro beat filled with drums as CODE goes in with the first verse who keeps the theme (love) of the song in his lyrics and also entertaining for hip-hop/rap heads. ‘You’ is the leading off Essie’s upcoming EP titled “SickBeatz and Soul” which will have visuals (video) to accompany it.
