For
all the candidates who are calling and asking for the cut-off marks of their
prospective departments, here is an overview of the previous years' cut-off
marks.
Note that departmental cut-off marks are very dynamic. I mean, they vary (slightly though) every year. This means that the cut-off marks used in the previous years may not be the same cut-off marks that would be used this year., you would have noticed that there are some factors that determine the cut-off marks for a particular department in a given year.
Some of the factors include:
(1.) Carrying capacity of the
departments,
(2.) General performance of
candidates in both UTME and post-UTME,
(3.) The number of applications
received by each department that year.
More so, there are two scales
normally used in giving cut-off marks:
a scale of "1 to 400" and a
scale of "1 to 100".
On a scale of "1 to 400",
you calculate your score as follows:
(UTME + PUTME) ÷ 2 = your score
On a scale of "1 to 100",
you calculate your score as follows:
(UTME + PUTME) ÷ 8 = your score
